There are many aspects of this workout that really are perfect during pregnancy. I used this throughout my first pregnancy at age 39, in 2005, in combination with walking. I found it helped maintain muscle mass, provided just enough of a heart rate increase to work my entire body, and strenthened muscles that support pregnancy and childbirth. I endured 40 hours of labor and was able to push our baby out in three long, hard pushes. I am told regular Kegel exercises (included in the workout) helped this process. The next pregnancy at age 44 in 2010 has been difficult and resulted in many months of bed rest due to a short cervix.
